Rex is a Fellow of the Royal College of Anaesthetists. His career spans General Practice and full time Hospital Anaesthetics. Rex has had an interest in providing anaesthetics and sedation in dental surgeries for over forty years so comes with a wealth of experience. Nowadays general anaesthetics are confined to hospital and 'conscious sedation' has provided a safe and effective means to help people through any fears of dentistry. the motto 'aware but don't care' fits perfectly. The drugs used are short acting, so are largely eliminated at the end of the appointment. There are still bits of the drug remaining so and escort is required to go home. you are advised not to do business work, paperwork, on line shopping or social media for the rest of the day. Mistakes can be made. Driving is not permitted for 24 hours after the appointment. it is best to eat lightly and drink normally before an appointment.

Away from the practice, Rex is a keep sportsman having played rugby at county level and team squash and tennis. Nowadays, Rex spends time with his family, plays a more sedate game of tennis and enjoys his electric mountain bike on the Downs.
